What Makes a Marriage?

Proponents of marriage deconstruction cite childlessness as a reason to codify SSM. They reason that two men or two women together are equivalent to a childless man & woman, whether such childlessness is the result of choice or infertility.
So, why would society sanction a childless heterosexual marriage, but not a same-sex "marriage?" Bec marriage is not predicated on fertility or childbearing. A marriage is a marriage when consummation takes place. And that requires differing genitalia. (See previous post titled "Joys of Darwinian Sex.")
Remember, one of the qualifiers for a civil and/or religious annulment is lack of consummation. Even when a legal  marriage license is obtained and a valid civil or religious ceremony is duly performed, unless consummation happens, then the marriage may be annulled.

No need to thank me. I'm always glad to help.
