Let's Remember in November that Character Matters

Politicians are paid by the taxpayers. They propose, vote on and implement laws the rest of us must live by. They set the tone of national discourse by virtue of their access to the media. How they comport themselves in public sends a message to the next generation.

Therefore, it is not asking too much to expect them to behave decently, given the power and authority they have.

One need not be a rocket scientist to know that adultery and homosexual sex are always wrong.

In this day and age, any type of sexual misconduct on the part of a public servant is just plain stupid, given a prurient press, the Internet and 24/7 cable news.

Bottom line: America needs leadership from GOOD people, not simply SMART people.
